God's Creatures in God's Word

All throughout the Bible, God used animals, plants, insects and other things in nature to help us have a better understanding of the things around us to grasp the points being made.  These were used as metaphors, similes and analogies.  As Job was being criticized and mocked, the Word states “But now ask the beasts, and they will teach you, and the birds of the air, and they will tell you, or speak to the earth and it will teach you, and the fish of the seas will explain to you.  Who among all these does not know that the hand of the Lord has done this.” (Job 12:7–9 NKJV).  God clearly intends for us to have a better understanding of His Word by using the things we can see and know in His creation.
